ADCO Services, Inc. only uses its sister company ADCOM Express, Inc. to transport radioactive waste and hazardous waste materials. Vehicles used for pick-ups / transport jobs are made using only well maintained company owned vehicles which are fully licensed and insured.

ADCO Employee Training

At ADCO Services, Inc. you will take comfort in knowing that all employees undergo a rigorous training program at time of employment to assure thorough comprehension of the radioactive and hazardous waste industry. New hires immediately are sent through a one week course in-house presented by ADCO Services' radiation safety officer to ensure thorough knowledge of the radioactive waste industry. Once the radiation portion of the training is complete, new hires are then sent to a 40-hour HAZWOPER training course. This training is then followed up by additional in-house training where employees will receive hands on training "in the field" as well as D.O.T. training before they are released into the field on their own. All employees involved in the pricing, paperwork preparation, handling, treatment and dismantling, as well as transporting of wastes also receive annual 8 hour refresher training programs.

  • Negotiate prices with various waste processors to offer generators the lowest prices possible for the disposal of radioactive and hazardous wastes.

  • Offer the option of shipping direct from a generator's facility to the disposal site.

  • Allow our customers the option of being added as "additionally insured" to ADCO Services' liability insurance plan.

  • Perform hazardous and radioactive waste management services such as: waste classification, paper packing, manifesting, lab packing waste, packing of waste, transportation, treatment, and waste disposal.

  • Provide supplies such as barrels/drums, bags, boxes, superfine (absorbent), etc. for your waste stream needs.

  • Assist generators in the process of attaining all necessary permits required for shipping waste.

  • Employ only highly qualified technicians and or chemists or radiation safety officers (RSOs) to package, survey, and transport radioactive and hazardous wastes.

  • Only transport waste on well maintained/modern ADCOM Express, Inc. owned vehicles which are only operated by ADCOM Express' personnel.

  • Offer source removal / disposal services.

  • Offer certificates of destruction/disposition for wastes shipped.

  • Arrange mutually agreeable shipment dates with generators.

  • Offer various payment options such as: direct billing, credit card acceptance, wire transfer, or payment by check.

ADCO Services' Personnel

Technicians/Drivers

All ADCO Services' drivers/technicians receive periodic drug screening under ADCO Services' zero tolerance policy. All ADCOM Express, Inc. drivers are required to be at least 25 years of age, obtain a class A or B CDL and are required to maintain a clean M.V.R., and D.O.T. compliant log books which are routinely checked by upper management and U.S.D.O.T. inspectors. Drivers are responsible for the general maintenance of ADCOM Express, Inc. vehicles and are trained in general up-keep of company owned vehicles.

 

At ADCO Services we are proud to say that our staff of friendly technicians/drivers have logged over 1,000,000 miles cumulatively without incident driving in even the most challenging of cities to drive in such as: Los Angeles, New York City, Boston, and Washington DC!

 

At ADCO Services, our drivers/technicians are proficient in the fields of: customer service, permitting, registration requirements, load securing and inspection, paperwork preparation, D.O.T. 49 CFR requirements, N.R.C. 10 CFR 20, 61, and 71 requirements, and E.P.A. RCRA in 40 CFR.

Office Personnel/Management

In-house personnel are thoroughly trained in the industry and are able to answer general questions that customers may have. Management is thoroughly trained in all fields of radioactive and hazardous waste management and a manager is always on duty during normal business hours.

 

All in-house personnel receive the same training as techs upon commencement of employment and also receive annual refresher courses dealing with radioactive and hazardous wastes.
